Sixth Grade Explores Early Civilizations

How does physical geography affect the development of early civilizations? Our sixth grade scholars recently created geographic models to explore this question. By building the models, the scholars got to apply the knowledge they learned about early civilizations while sharpening cognitive skills such as making connections and inferences and interpreting data. They then got to develop their oral presentation skills when they presented their models to the scholars from the elementary campus.
