SafeUT App

SafeUT is a statewide real-time crisis intervention service for Utah youth.

The mental health and well being of our scholars is important to us and we are proud to be a SafeUT school partner. What is SafeUT? SafeUT is a real-time crisis intervention service provided by University of Utah Health at no cost and is free and completely confidential. Licensed counselors are available to chat or take phone calls and provide the following services:

  • supportive or crisis counseling,

  • suicide prevention, and

  • referral services.

Common issues SafeUT counselors provide support with:

  • Depression, anxiety, or other mental health issues;

  • Suicide prevention;

  • Loss and grief;

  • Bullying and cyberbullying;

  • Drug and alcohol problems;

  • Self-harm;

  • Relationship difficulties;

  • Any life challenge.

  • Confidential and password-protected services

  • Free to use and download (standard data usage and rates may apply)

  • Real-time, two-way communication with SafeUT crisis counselors available 24/7 through the chat feature

  • Tips can be submitted with picture and/or video

  • Compatibility with Apple & Android devices
