Behind every successful school is a strong parent teacher association. Better known as the PTA or a PTO, these parent-teacher-student advocacy organizations help to further the possibilities for school children across the nation.
We have an opportunity to create a PTA here at Mana Academy and to bring those same programs here for our scholars. A team from the Utah Parent Teacher Association will be joining us for a general meeting on January 9th, 2020 at 6:00 PM to help us organize, enroll members and answer any questions.
BENEFITS OF A PTA
We often think of the PTA as a fund raising organizing but it is much more than that. Here are just some of the benefits:
PTA is one of the longest running, largest parent-teacher-student advocacy group in the nation.
PTA offers programs to increase family engagement and support the educational success, health, and well-being of all children.
Strong local support. Members receive the information and training they need to advocate effectively at the local, state, and national levels for funding, programs, and services for their schools.
