Child Nutrition Program

School Breakfast Meal (credit: Vectors by www.vecteezy.com)

As we await for the final inspection and approval of our kitchen, we want to thank our school community for your patience through this whole process. We know this may be difficult for some of you so we thank you again for your patience and we will keep you informed as we get closer to the day we can serve breakfast and lunch.

During this waiting period, we want to remind you that if you have not applied for Free or Reduced Lunch, please take the time to do so. Even if you think you don't qualify, we highly encourage everyone to apply. NOTE: Your U.S. citizenship, immigration status, or not having a SSN does not affect your eligibility for receiving benefits. So please apply!

Assistance Programs

A new change enacted this year by the USBE is that any student who lives in households currently approved for Food Stamps (SNAP), Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), Family Employment Program (FEP), or some Medicaid programs, are eligible for free or reduced meal or milk benefits.

There are two ways a household may qualify for free meals:

  1. Mana Academy will approve these children for free meals through the direct certification process and no application is required for free meal benefits or,

  2. The household may contact the Mana Academy and indicate the qualifying assistance program in which they participate. Please have your case number ready for verification.

Please visit our Child Nutrition Program page to download the application and find out more information on our Child Nutrition Program at Mana Academy.
