Inside a Computer

How does a computer work? What are all the parts involved? In Digital Literacy, our 8th grade scholars had the opportunity to take apart old computers to access the hardware inside the machine and learn about the role each part plays in computing.

Digital Literacy Core: Strand 2 (Information Processing Cycle) Students will identify a computer as a device that utilizes hardware and software to accept input, process data, store data, and produce output: Standard 1 Identify computer hardware in the information processing cycle.
